Following months of talks and planning RPTMoto are pleased to announce that they have officially merged with Extra Mile Bike Tours Ltd. The merger has come about after a chance meeting between the two companies.

Carl Coombes the managing Director at Extra Mile Bike Tours said, " The team of 12 at Extra Mile, are mainly from military backgrounds and having met with Tony Carr, we felt that he and RPT Moto's offering of tours to WW1 and WW2 historic battlefield and memorial sites in Europe, would be a perfect fit. Tony's extensive experience and contacts allows us to offer more tours and more destinations, which of course means more flexibility and more choice for the customer. This puts us ahead of many other motorbike tour companies.

Tony Carr of RPT Moto said, "This chance meeting of two very like minded people could not have come at a better time. The guided motorbike tour industry is seeing more and more small companies struggling to offer something different, without paying huge sums of money for the experience. Extra Mile gives RPT Moto the chance to extend it's offering and brings a wealth of experience from within the Extra Mile team and their extensive network."

The merger has seen many bookings coming from earlier clients of RPTMoto who originally enjoyed their tours to the WW1 & WW2 battlefileds, now going further afield with the 14 night / 15 days tours of France & Spain and the 9 nights / 8 days tour to Italy being the most popular.

The France & Spain Tour departs from Dover to Calais and rides through Normandy and the Loire Valley down through Pamplona and right into the very heart of Spain.

The Italy tour is becoming known as the Eurotour as it involves riding through France, Belgium, germany, Austira, Switzerland and Italy. With varying cultures and sights, this tour also includes the infamous Stelvio Pass with its 48 hairpin bends.

Tony Carr went on to say "This year we have seen more groups of friends, family and club riders making group bookings. Of course this makes life easier for us from a logistics point of view. Therefore we are offering some amazing discounts for groups of 5 or more"

In addition to the tours and dates available on the website, Extra Mile will also tailor-make tours for any group of 4 or more riders. (not including pillion)

All the tours and dates on the website are booked on a strictly first come first serve basis.

Carl Coombes said "We are looking to add even more destinations this year and with a team of 12 highly qualified and experienced tour leaders we are going that EXtra MILe to make sure you enjoy the rides, the scenery, the sights, the culture and the adventure which is all part of the Extra Mile Guided Motorbike Touring experience".
