Fairing

This describes the (normally) plastic coverings of the bike, otherwise called the bodywork. The fairings protect the motorcycle and the rider from the elements.

Final drive

The chain (or belt) used to spin the wheel.

Flat spot

This describes the condition where an open throttle does not see acceleration caused by an incorrect fuel / air mixture .

Foot peg

This is where the riders feet rest whilst riding.

Fuel consumption

Describes the amount of fuel the motorcycle uses (normally per gallon) for example 55 miles per gallon

Fuel injection

The process replaces the carburetors by injecting fuel (controlled by a computer) into the intake manifold.
