Aftermarket parts

Aftermarket motorcycle parts are motorcycle parts intended to replace the factory standard supplied parts in order to either improve the motorcycle in some way or replace a standard factory item as aftermarket products are generally cheaper and more accessible. The most popular uses of aftermarket parts are to increase performance, improve the looks of the motorcycle, improve the handling or simply as luxury extras.

Aftermarket exhaust systems are generally designed to improve the power of the motorcycle by reducing the back pressure of the factury exhaust system. Frequently a side effect of a free-flowing exhaust system is an increase in engine noise. Aftermarket exhausts are also considered a style upgrade.
