The following rider takes the inside line with the aim of getting in ahead of the rider in front whilst still in the early stages of the corner. The overtaking rider then slows the bike down in order to regain the racing line, forcing the following rider to either take the outside line (a slower line) or brake, allowing the overtaking rider to gain the position. |
