Born Again Biker - motorcycle dictionary definitionsUploaded by motorcycledirectory, found in b In motorcycling, Born Again Biker can be defined as:A born again biker is generally an older rider (age of between 30 to 60) who used to ride in their younger years. After a break from motorcycling, normally due to other commitments such as spouses, children and family cars, a born again rider will jump straight on to one of the top, more powerful and expensive motorcycles (helped by an increase in disposable income compared to teenage years). Insurance companies have almost as much trouble with born again bikers as with young, new riders. It was rumoured in 2004 that insurance companies were going to require a minor retest for anyone coming back to motorcycling, although nothing concrete happened in the end. |
