| Ever since the Japanese motorcycle firms rose from their 50 and 90cc machines to build genuine motorcycles, it has been axiomatic that Oriental street bikes, despite whatever other pinnacles they reached, always lagged behind the Europeans in that one virtue most important to purists: Handling. Their handling habits ranged from downright horrifying on a few models to the more common characteristic, a slight vagueness in steering accompanied by not enough ground clearance.
